TemboCard Saccos is a card solution developed by CRDB Bank to offer banking services to customers with no bank account.
Benefits (to MFIs):
More Income to MFI: Each card sold by MFI earns income to the MFI.
Commission Income: MFI earns fees for depositing and withdraw of funds from customers with TemboCard Saccos.
Improved Image: Being associated with a big brand like TemboCard improves the standing and image of the participating MFI.
Benefits (to card holders):
- Convenient: It can be used in all CRDB Bank branches, all VISA enabled ATMs and affiliate MFIs offering Tembocard Saccos services.
- Safe: TemboCard Saccos can only be accessed by customer through the use of a secret PIN
- Secure: A holder does not need to carry a lot of cash and thus reduces the risk of it being stolen
- Light: TemboCard Saccos is very light and can easily be carried and/or stacked for safety.
- Functions available for TemboCard Saccos holders
- Cash deposit at MFI or CRDB Bank
- Cash withdrawal at MFI, CRDB Bank counter or at any VISA enabled ATM.

Registration Conditions:
Demand for smartcard services, partnership agreement, board resolution to start TemboCard Saccos services, office with electricity and telephone connection.
